What Is a French Drain?
A French drain is a simple yet highly effective drainage system that redirects surface water and groundwater away from your home’s foundation. Despite its name, the French drain was actually invented by Henry Flagg French, an American farmer and lawyer, in 1859.
The system consists of a perforated pipe surrounded by gravel or rock, installed in a sloped trench. When Adam came out to our place to give us a quote on a mini split he was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I contacted Central Heating for some work I needed done after finding them on Google. Richie did an amazing job installing the necessary electrical needed and installing a new ceiling fan for us. Really stellar service. Richie is knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely rely on his expertise in the future. I always use licensed and insured contractors and I’m very impressed with Central Heating. Had another rep come out and give us a free quote to replace our heating and add air conditioning. Steve was very thorough and explained the process very well. While he was under our house, he saw a water leak we didn’t know about. It was repaired the next day by Chance and Josh. Connor and his assistant Vander were both superb, Very knowledgeable, polite, pleasant, and explained everything very clearly. They wore paper covers over their shoes to keep my floor clean. I’d definitely use them again for any of my electrical requirements. Got a service call about 4-5 hours after I initially called the company. Btw, I had my smoke detector swapped out. Difficult because it was about 18 feet above the ground in my great room.
We had a string of power outlets in our 1994 home lose power unexpectedly. Some on the circuit worked, some did not. I could not find the break on my own, so I called in the experts. Connor quickly found the broken wire. In repairing, he did not rewire it like typical house wiring, but did pigtails like in commercial construction. This problem should never come back. But if it does, repairs are much quicker and easier wired the way he did it. Experienced journeyman electricians are great to have when you need one!
Denver and Colton were exceptional. They arrived on time and made a great first impression with their friendlies. They were clean and respectful of our property, wearing shoe coverings while in the house. They were true professionals throughout the process. They presented options and prices before proceeding with any work and were very accommodating to our desires and requests. This time the technician, Trystin, in addition to quickly replacing a faulty part on my furnace also found that the appliance had been wired incorrectly when it was originally installed 20 years ago (and no, they didn't do the install.) After a few changes, all of the elements are working now and the air coming out of the registers is 15 degrees warmer. The furnace doesn't run nearly as long as it used to so the savings on my electric bill will pay for the work done by the end of winter.
The point of this story is that they don't just change parts or try to sell you unnecessary components/service....they really know how to do things right.
I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

We are very happy with the tune-up we received on our Hvac system. A full service evaluation was completed, and a gas pressure issue was found that caused our furnace to fault at a high limit. The fault was corrected, and our furnace is now operating the way it should. Trystin and his assistant provided great customer service. We would highly recommend Central.

Trystin was very thorough in his inspection and cleaning of our furnace. He explained our two alarms, showed us that our filters were dirty on the under side and to perhaps change them more often. He also suggested a great place to order our filters that was more affordable than Amazon. He was personable and helpful.
I'll share a great experience with Central. I made three online requests for proposals for a home backup generator system. Only one, Central, got back to me. We arranged a visit and we were presented with a very good, clear, professional proposal. It's most likely if we make a purchase we would make it from Central. I feel I could do so with confidence and trust.

Made the mistake of leaving the electrician alone in my home now 2 years later looking into what was done by him im seeing he basically ripped me off charged me $1100 for 4 outlets to be installed and didn't even finish the job. I should have watched over him like a hawk but silly me I thought I should be able to trust someone with 4.9 stars
I have dealt with a number of people at Central over the past month and all have been helpful, respectful and professional. Shout out to Crystal and Penney in the office, also Matt, Josh, James and Denney.

We had some concrete grinding done in the basement and Josh quickly figured out it was causing the filter to get clogged quickly shutting the furnace off. Replaced the filter, recommended a duct cleaning and didn’t charge us. Stayed 45 minutes to make sure the furnace wouldn’t shut off again.
Triston has serviced our heating unit in prior years so it was a plus to have him do the inspection and maintenance again. He is a polite, knowledgeable, efficient professional who always does a complete investigation of the system, leaving it operating a level as good as new. Josh, the plumber, that came out to do the annual preventative maintenance on our combi Lochinvar boiler/tankless water heater was awesome; he answered all of my questions regarding the boiler and our radiant floor heat with a wealth of knowledge. I’m also glad that they came out to the Polson area which most companies in Kalispell wouldn’t come out this far; Awesome company in the Valley.

Conner did a fantastic job on fixing our 30 amp breaker so we could use our new dryer.
He went above beyond that By rejuvenating all the Wiring in both electrical boxes. Not only was the 30 amp breaker for the dryer burnt up. We also had many other loose wires which he tighten down.

He went above beyond that By rejuvenating all the Wiring in both electrical boxes. Not only was the 30 amp breaker for the dryer burnt up. We also had many other loose wires which he tighten down.
We really feel much better about our electrical panels for our house now… It could’ve been a real problem.

I had a timing issue for the day of the appointment and they made it work. Jeff arrived to do the inspection, answered all my questions, did the work and left me with follow-up information. Since January of this year Central HCP&E has been involved in the updating of our 60+year old home. We've had a minisplit installed and plumbing tuned up for my Mom's apartment. In June we had a new furnace installed in the house-best time to do it is when you aren't freezing. Most recently Joel Z. added additional amp service to the house, and installed an exterior outlet for our camper. He was instrumental in how some construction was done in our yard-working out the "where" and "when", and always cheery. In the next few months we'll be going after a new bathroom! These guys were GREAT!!! No time wasted, got right to the job of digging out a shut off value 3 feet down. Realized a rock was wedged in the pipe, got it out with a clothes hanger (genius) and saved me over $1,000.
In parts and labor!! Brought a cover box with them so the pipe is now well protected.
